Tidal Wave

standing at the edge of my mind
i’m wondering just how i’ve survived
i’ve been broke down
so many times

contemplating how long i can last
grateful for every minute passed
i am always
falling behind

burned to the bone at both ends
i keep pushing myself over again
i am driven
by something i can’t explain
